Group Ideas

We have decided to combine all the three ideas and come up with one. The ideas that we've discussed were to do a very emotional and psychological opening sequence, as our genre will be DRAMA. As drama has a lot of emotional issues, we decided to link it with an illness caused by the addiction of drugs from the main character. The idea is to involve teenage issues, such as drugs and relationships, and the focus is on pressure and tension.

Genre Partner Presentation

To be more familiar with genres, the whole class were asked to do a presentation, showing your knowing about genres, researching, historical notes and examples of movies in that genre. That presentation was meant to be done with a partner who had the same interest genre as you. The task was completed and it helped the teacher to place us in our groups of media production.

EBI - Relevant moving image (digital technology).
Confidence interacting with audience and board.
          Briefly introduce the whole story

Opening Sequence Analyses

Analysing this opening sequence, I found that it was sending direct hints on what the movie is about, by its iconographic images, the audience could see the connotation behind it, focused especially on the sunset within the war plane, which could define as a contrast with a romantic/calm/serene background and the war plane just coming in. I found this opening sequence very effective because of the connotations and the effects on music as well. The music is calm but it has some tension tones also.
